'The Unit' takes its first recording today (September 29). Mentors Hyuna, Rain, Taemin, SanE, Jo Hyunah and Hwang Chiyeol attended the first recording in KINTEX.

Meanwhile, ‘The Unit’ is a program to discover talents and potentials of idols who already made debut, aiming to create a new idol unit group.

There will be two unit groups of male version and female version of each group will have 9 members.

The recordings will be this September 29 to October 1st. The show premieres on October 28 courtesy of KBS.

Taemin appeared last August 10 on 'Kangta's Starry Night.'. He expresses his thoughts about being an artist and his thoughts about being here in Entertainment Industry for 10 years.

Kangta asked him about what songs are the most important to him on his life, he said "I started to dance when I saw and heard "Smooth Criminal" music video because I was amazed on it."

He was also asked on what does he like to have that he doesn't get it yet, Taemin said. "Since we only live once, this may be childish but I wanted to be acknowledged. I'm hoping that I won't have any regrets when I look back, and I think about how people will look at me in the future."

Kangta replied, “Like with Michael Jackson’s videos, new artists in the future will watch your performances and will think of you as a role model. There are most likely a lot in our agency.”

A fan asked Taemin if he’s had any moments that made him realize he’s in his tenth year since debut, Taemin replied, “It doesn’t feel real yet.” He added with a laugh, “I still think of myself as being young, and the members seem like they did when I first saw them.” 

Taemin will be making a solo comeback this month, in addition to holding his first Korean solo concerts. He is also currently filming his own solo reality show.
